Job Description
As a UI Specialist, you will:
1. Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals and experience
2. Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
3. Conceptualise original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
4. Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
5. Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
6. Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback
7. Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards

Requirements
A UI Specialist should:
1. Have a BA or MA in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or equivalent
2. Ideally have at least five years of experience in a similar role
3. Be able to demonstrate clear UI design skills backed with a strong portfolio
4. Demonstrate excellent visual design skills with a sensitivity to user-system interaction
5. Have solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
6. Demonstrate proficiency with Sketch, Marvel, Photoshop, Illustrator, OmniGraffle, or other visual design and wire-framing tools
7. Have strong HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills for rapid prototyping
8. Be able to solve problems creatively and effectively
9. Be able to take on lots of responsibility, juggle deadlines and push for outcomes
10. Deliver no matter what it takes
11. Possess excellent written and verbal skills in English.
