RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leading software design. development and deployment of the company's leading edge products and technologies

• Work with Project / Engineering Managers from a technological viewpoint during delivery of projects

• Leading in overseeing software development process

• Mentoring junior members of development teams Tracking industry developments and standards and implementing these into the companies' technologies Ensuring appropriate development standards are adhered to by development teams Produce design and technical specification documentation
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• BSc Computer Science or related discipline. Master's degree in a relevant field will be an advantage • At least 7 years of software development experience

• 3 years experience in Java / J2EE

• 2 years' experience in a similar role

• Knowledge of the following is also desirable. J2EE, Maven, JUnit JavaScript NoSQL Data Bases. CloudantDB. dash DB. Angular 3S. Node JS. Bootsrap. NodeRed. IBM Watson. Cognitive Services. Machine Learning and Predictive Analysis

• Sound knowledge on Cloud (PaaS, Sant Leas models) and IOT platforms will be an added advantage
