Job Description
The person:
❑ Minimum 4 years proven working experience as a head chef.
❑ Qualifications in hotel management or hospitality.
❑ Excellent record of kitchen management.
❑ Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
❑ Communication & leadership skills.
❑ Keep up with cooking trends and best practices.
❑ Capable of delegating multiple tasks.
Key responsibilities:
Plan and direct food preparation & culinary activities.
Modify menus & create new ones that meet quality standards.
Recruit and manage kitchen staff
Estimating food requirements and food/labor costs. Rectify arising complaints.
Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs.
Comply with nutrition & sanitation regulations & safety standards.
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Give prepared plates the "final touch".
